Terms of Trading for Unit 9Towing Services

The following will apply to trailers and units towed of all descriptions.

I / We / Unit 9:

• Will not be responsible for any damage incurred due to tyre failure, brake malfunction, mechanical wear, or coupling faults.

• Will not be responsible for any breakages to loose or unsecured internal items.

• Will not be responsible for any damage if asked to go off road, e.g. rough muddy fields - we will deliver to camp sites, boat yards, stables, storage yards and farms.

• Will ask you to re-confirm the place of set down if the driver deems it to be unsuitable, as the above conditions will apply.

• Will require a suitable spare wheel to be provided (correct size and in good condition).

• Will change to spare wheel in case of puncture/blowout on route without any extra charge and will inform you immediately. All necessary tools and jacks are carried for this service. Please note if locking wheel nuts are used, the driver must be given the socket to fit otherwise this term will not apply.

• Will supply and change bulbs at a cost of £1.00 per bulb if rear lenses are removable and not damaged.

• Will apply extra charges if your trailer/unit fails to complete the journey due to any and all mechanical failure.

• Will be responsible for kerbing of wheels and tyres and any damage due to driver error.

• Will log and photograph any existing damage prior to hook up.

• Will require payment by bank transfer or cash on collection prior to hook-up.

Please also note: for European contracts we must have full access to any interior spaces and all lockers as we will be required by law to allow customs and drug squad access when requested. We are usually searched as we cannot confirm that we own the trailer/unit and have packed it. Therefore we will also require you to sign to declare that there are no illegal substances or weapons inside.
